\u00bfQu\u00e9 son las c\u00e9lulas madre?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Son c\u00e9lulas tambi\u00e9n llamadas progenitoras que pueden ser de varios tipos. Pero principalmente podemos hablar de c\u00e9lulas madre embrionarias, que son las que dan lugar al embri\u00f3n y las c\u00e9lulas madre adultas, que a su vez dan lugar a diferentes tejidos del organismo. Estas \u00faltimas son las que se usan en las terapias celulares de regeneraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

\u00bfC\u00f3mo se obtienen?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Las c\u00e9lulas adultas mesenquimales las podemos obtener de varios tejidos, incluyendo el cord\u00f3n umbilical, la placenta, la pulpa dentaria, la medula \u00f3sea o la grasa. Estos dos \u00faltimos tejidos son los que contienen la mayor cantidad, especialmente la grasa. Las obtenemos mediante una muestra de m\u00e9dula \u00f3sea o de grasa, que se realiza por aspiraci\u00f3n mediante anestesia local.<\/p>\n

<\/h2>\n

\u00bfCu\u00e1l es el objetivo de todo tratamiento con c\u00e9lulas madre?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

B\u00e1sicamente regenerar tejidos y \u00f3rganos. Esto quiere decir que al infiltrarlas en las estructuras lesionadas, como por ejemplo una articulaci\u00f3n, estas se fijan en el sitio de la lesi\u00f3n. Mediante procesos de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n y est\u00edmulo a las c\u00e9lulas circundantes del tejido, as\u00ed como por replicaci\u00f3n celular, producen nuevas c\u00e9lulas y nuevo tejido.<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 \u00e1reas terap\u00e9uticas comprende?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Tienen en la actualidad m\u00faltiples usos en las a\u00e9reas de ortopedia, traumatolog\u00eda y medicina deportiva para casos de lesiones y traumas. Tambi\u00e9n en patolog\u00edas como artritis o artrosis, en lesiones musculares. En dermatolog\u00eda y est\u00e9tica se usan profusamente en rejuvenecimiento facial y corporal. Se ha estado trabajando en ensayos cl\u00ednicos para lesiones nerviosas y medulares y \u00faltimamente se ha demostrado su utilidad en la estimulaci\u00f3n del sistema inmunol\u00f3gico. Tambi\u00e9n se ha encontrado utilidad en pacientes que han sufrido da\u00f1o pulmonar por Covid 19 aplic\u00e1ndose directamente mediante nebulizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

\u00bfPara qui\u00e9n est\u00e1 indicado?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Para todos los pacientes que tengan enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas o degenerativas como las que hemos nombrado, o para lesiones y traumatismos. Desde personas muy j\u00f3venes hasta personas de edad avanzada. Y existen muy pocas contraindicaciones.<\/p>\n

<\/h2>\n

\u00bfC\u00f3mo se justifica el inter\u00e9s de la comunidad cient\u00edfica por su investigaci\u00f3n?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Porque se ha mostrado en estos \u00faltimos a\u00f1os como una excelente arma terap\u00e9utica. Y no solo en las c\u00e9lulas madre propiamente dichas, sino tambi\u00e9n en el plasma aut\u00f3logo y los exosomas, entre otros subproductos celulares, con un gran futuro en la regeneraci\u00f3n in situ y tambi\u00e9n en la ingenier\u00eda de tejidos y \u00f3rganos.<\/p>\n

\u00bfCu\u00e1les son las l\u00edneas abiertas de investigaci\u00f3n sobre posibles aplicaciones futuras? \u00bfDiabetes, Parkinson, afecciones card\u00edacas\u2026?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

En estos momentos hay muchas l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n en inmunomodulaci\u00f3n y estimulaci\u00f3n pancr\u00e1tica en pacientes diab\u00e9ticos. En neurol\u00f3gica hay m\u00faltiples estudios en enfermedades como el Parkinson y otras patolog\u00edas del sistema nervioso, incluyendo lesiones medulares. En patolog\u00edas cardiacas existen varias l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n que incluyen lesiones postinfarto o lesiones valvulares entre otras. Y en ortopedia es tal vez donde m\u00e1s estudios se est\u00e1n realizando en estos momentos, y con excelentes resultados.
