The recipes with beans are perfect for that. These pulses, in addition to be tasty, are healthy since they contain high quantities of iron, zinc and fibre. Here is a delicious recipe of white bean stew.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1<strong> cup white beans<\/strong>, soaked for 3 hours<\/li>\n<li>1<strong> carrot<\/strong> washed and cut into small chunks<\/li>\n<li>1<strong> stick celery<\/strong> washed and cut into 1.3 cm pieces<\/li>\n<li>1 <strong>onion<\/strong> cut into large cubes<\/li>\n<li>1 <strong>yam or sweet potato<\/strong> cut into cubes<\/li>\n<li>1-<strong>inch piece kombu<\/strong> rinsed<\/li>\n<li>Pinch <strong>sea salt<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp <strong>shoyu<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>1 \u00bd tbsp <strong>umeboshi vinegar<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp <strong>rice syrup<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Spring <strong>water<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Coriander<\/strong> for garnish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Layer the ingredients<\/strong> in the following order in a saucepan; kombu, onions, celery, squash, carrot, and beans. Make sure there is enough water to just cover the beans. Use the soaking water and any additional water as needed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bring to boil<\/strong> over a medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and cook the beans until soft..<\/li>\n<li><strong>Add the salt, the rice syrup, shoyu and umeboshi vinegar<\/strong> to your white bean stew.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cook for 5 minutes<\/strong> and then stir through beans.<\/li>\n<li>Serve garnished with coriander.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This white bean stew recipe is a perfect plate for the next winter months and a good way to mix pleasure and healthy food.
